Dear supporters,
In 2025, we launched Historias del Mamoní, a community-based publication documenting the history, biodiversity, and voices of the upper Mamoní River Valley.
We invested $2,500 in the design, printing, and transport of 300 copies. To date, we have recouped nearly $1,000 through book sales, while also prioritizing access within the community by distributing or offering at reduced cost over 100 copies to local families, students, and collaborators. We currently have fewer than 100 copies remaining.
Beyond sales, the book has served as a tool to strengthen local identity and environmental awareness, connecting readers to the ecological and cultural richness of the region.
Looking ahead, we are making an updated digital version of the book, which will allow us to expand access while supporting the financial sustainability of the project and future editions. As part of this next phase, we are also proposing a podcast series inspired by the book, aimed at making these stories more accessible to the local community and preserving the voices of our elders and researchers.
By purchasing a digital copy, you directly support the continuation of this work—helping us document, share, and celebrate the stories of the Mamoní.
Thank you for being part of this effort.
