Support $10 for planting 12 Mangrove
Our target is to plant 10 thousand mangroves within 2019 in the Climate Vulnerable Sundarbans coastal area of Bangladesh which is more vulnerable due to river bank erosion. Mangrove safe the coastal communities as a greenbelt as well as protect them from the river bank erosion. BEDS planted almost 2, 20,000 mangroves in the river bank side of the coastal area of Bangladesh which is suitable for Mangroves by involving local communities. The adjacent of the communities are now taking care of the planted mangrove.
Support $10 for planting 12 mangrove sapling including fencing, guarding, nursing, maintenance, sapling transportation and labor cost.

Planting Mangrove for our own protection
Sundarbans mangrove forest is the salvation and safe guard of almost 3.2 millions of vulnerable coastal people. It is a UNESCO declared the Natural World Heritage and RAMSAR wetland site. But this mangrove forest is losing its assets due to destructive activities of human and climate change although mangroves are an undividable part of coastal communities.
Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is a focused and motivated environmental development organization which works for conserving the Sundarbans mangrove forest and ecosystem. This is the reason why BEDS wants to plant 100000 mangrove saplings all over the Sundarbans coastal region of Bangladesh. Riverbank erosion is a very common phenomenon here. So, to protect the coastal belt and restoration of mangroves BEDS aims at this activity. We have already received two donations from respectable donors. Target grant of the project is 99,910$ and so far, 90 $ is raised from 2 honorable donors. We hope we will be able to implement our proposed Mangrove Plantation activities in near future with the help of the donors.
We are in touch with the coastal people and we always inspire them to plant the mangroves in the river bank as much as the can. We disseminated the news among them that we are trying hard to raise the required funds for mangrove plantation activities.
We are appealing to the global community from the part of erosion vulnerable coastal people to help us for conducting the mangrove plantation and restoration activities.
