Our work lasted 15 years in Lebanon

Dear friends and supporters,

With this report Aleimar would like to update all of you, sharing news coming from our local partner - the association “Oui pour la vie” in Damour.

“Oui Pour la Vie” operates 4 days a week to prepare food for nearly 100 families and a total of approximately 350 people in need (Lebanese and refugees). Families are divided into two groups, each receives food twice a week. The kitchen prepares cooked meals and also from time to time it distributes raw chicken or meat, as this has turned out to cut the expenses and is well received by families. For the elderly and sick people, the kitchen only sends cooked meals. The numbers are continually changing, and there has been an increase in the number of Lebanese families requesting this assistance due to the local economic situation.

Aleimar’s engagement to this important project continued throughout 2023, helping children and families in charge by our local partner. During this year, Aleimar has decided to close this project: after a deep analysis of the project, of its recipients and of the action capacity of the local partner, Aleimar has found the activities carried out by the volunteers of “Oui Pour la Vie” to be really successful. Aleimar’s Project Office reports that the local partner is able to develop its activities independently and this is a great goal reached! After 15 years of collaboration, Aleimar will keep monitor the local situation and will remain available for all the needs of the local partner.

We really want to thank all the friends and donors that during these years have decided to support this project, reaching the most fragile part of the Lebanese and refugee population!
