Update progress report on our project

By James Rosita Nkeiruka | Project Leader

We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to MENTORING 5K WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN SOUTHEAST, NIG (54328)

In the past three months of our last project report, our project, mentoring five thousand (5000) women entrepreneurs in rural southeast hasn't received any donation from donors through GlobalGiving. The last disbursement was on the 30th of March. We only depended on the little funds from few individuals and sales from our products. We are faced with financial constraints coupled with high inflation which has ravaged the economy and the country.

The project was implemented in the rural communities in Southeast. The direct beneficiaries are women in rural communities. With the limited money at hand, we could carry out only limited financial empowerment support program to few individuals as against our earlier on planned. Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian foundation weren't able to do more as we expected.

Income:

I) Sales from food processing and packaging products= $355.35

Ii) In kind donations= $150

iii) Balance of last expenditures= $30.05

Grand total amount of income= $535.4

Below is a short description of some of the humanitarian relief you have supported us with your donation:

*Expenditures* :

a) Given seed money to five women entrepreneurs for support- 5×80= $400

b) facilitator appreciation= $100

c) Communication and telephone bills= $30.50

Balance= $4.9

Women in south eastern part of Nigeria especially those in rural communities are faced with lots of challenges ranging From; Lack of support, Lack of money, Lack of confidence, Lack of a clear pathway and Lack of experience and knowledge. Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian foundation is doing her best to organize workshop and seminars to educate and guide them through. We are not able to do much because we lack the capital.

Moreso, thank you for your generous donation to "MENTORING 5K WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN SOUTHEAST, NIG (54328) that supported these efforts. As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to children in rural communities.

Besides, the September Little by Little Matching Campaign is right around the corner once again. GlobalGiving’s September 2022 Little by Little campaign will last 5 days, from September 12, 2022, at 00:00:00 EDT to September 16, 2022, at 23:59:59 EDT. During the September 2022 Little by Little campaign, all eligible donations up to $50 USD per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% for the duration of the campaign and we will keep you informed about how your donation is impacting the lives of people who are suffering because of this shortage

With deep gratitude and kindest regards,

Samonyemaechi humanitarian.
