As summer came to a close, Mirai no Mori wrapped up the season with two special events that brought together the children we support and the Knights in White Lycra community.
Rafting Adventure with KIWL Riders
Children from seven care homes had the chance to enjoy a rafting adventure over two full weekends. This program was proudly sponsored by Knights in White Lycra, thanks to their incredible efforts and donors around the world. KIWL riders not only supported the program but also got to meet the children and youth they impact. They spent time with campers ages 6 to 14, as well as Leaders in Training- high school students preparing for independence from the care homes.
KIWL Post-Ride Party
In September, at the KIWL Post-Ride Party, riders, donors and sponsors came together to celebrate the success of the 4-day charity ride back in June, along with the incredible funds that were raised so far (although the partnership does not end here!). This time, riders met young adults who have already left care homes- graduates of Mirai no Mori programs.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we are close to reaching a our fundraising goal! Every contribution helps create opportunities for marginalized children and young adults in Japan, and every connection deepens the community of care that surrounds them. We are grateful to have you with us on this journey.
