Many women in rural and underserved areas of Ghana cannot access breast cancer screening services. This project brings mobile clinics directly to communities, offering free breast exams, early detection education, and referrals for treatment when necessary.
Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women in Ghana. Early detection dramatically improves survival rates, but limited access to screening facilities and low awareness leave many women undiagnosed until late stages. Women in rural areas are especially disadvantaged due to travel costs, lack of information, and insufficient healthcare infrastructure.
Adjah Cancer Support Ghana's Mobile Breast Cancer Screening Clinics solve this problem by bringing life-saving screening directly to women where they live. The mobile clinics are fully equipped with trained medical personnel and screening tools to detect breast cancer early.
By providing regular mobile breast cancer screenings, this project will lead to earlier detection of breast cancer, which significantly increases survival rates among women in Ghana. Over time, communities will become more aware of the importance of early detection and breast health, creating a culture of proactive healthcare.
