This Project is concerned with improving their maternal and newborn health in rural areas of Lwengo District, Masaka District and Bukomansimbi District by providing the necessary materials to 750 vulnerable pregnant mothers within these districts through 15 Health Centres, 5 from each district. They will be given Maama kits, basins, transport to and from the health centre, and Mosquito nets. This will help even in the process of giving birth to health babies. This will run for 12 months
Over the past 6 months, COVID-19 has caused unbearable illness and deaths in people and has devastated vulnerable persons and their families, even some having no hope of living any more. The rate of death for pregnant mothers is increasing due to lack of services and materials for use under the antenatal period. Some who survive death give birth to babies in alarming state. Mothers face such challenges due to lack of transport and the required materials to help them in the antenatal process
For 12 months the project will provide maama kits, basins, mosquito nets, and give transport to all pregnant mothers going for antenatal at all health centres. We shall also have counselling and guidance services to all mothers. This will make mothers safe from deaths and give birth to health babies
To provide Vulnerable Mothers with antenatal materials that will stop the increasing deaths of mothers and have health children
