Project Report: New Class, New Dreams — Giving Children the Confidence to Learn

Dear Supporters,

For many children, the first day of school is filled with excitement, hope, and dreams for the future.

But for countless underprivileged children in Pakistan, the beginning of a new school year brings fear, embarrassment, and uncertainty.

Many children arrive at school without uniforms, broken shoes, empty bags, or no stationery at all. Some sit quietly in classrooms feeling ashamed because they cannot afford the same basic supplies as other students. Others stop attending school entirely because their parents cannot manage the costs.

Behind every missing uniform is a family struggling with poverty.
Behind every absent child is a dream at risk of being lost.

Through the “New Class, New Dreams” project, we are working to change this reality.

Why This Project Matters

Education should never depend on whether a child can afford shoes, books, or a school bag.

Yet many low-income families face impossible choices every day:

Buying food or buying school supplies
Paying rent or purchasing uniforms
Sending children to work instead of school

As inflation and financial hardship continue to affect vulnerable communities, education becomes one of the first sacrifices families are forced to make.

Without support:

Children lose confidence
School attendance decreases
Dropout rates increase
Poverty continues into the next generation

A simple school kit can become the reason a child stays in school.

What Your Support Provides

This project helps underprivileged children begin their school year with dignity, confidence, and hope.

Each school kit includes:

School uniform
School shoes
School bag
Notebooks and textbooks
Pens, pencils, and stationery essentials

These are simple items many people take for granted, but for struggling families, they are life-changing.

When children receive these supplies, they no longer feel excluded or ashamed. They can fully participate in class, focus on learning, and dream about a brighter future.

A Story Behind Every School Bag

Recently, we met 10-year-old Ayesha, whose father works as a daily wage laborer.

Although she loved studying, she often missed school because she had no uniform and wore damaged shoes. She told her mother she felt embarrassed standing beside other students.

Through donor support, Ayesha received a complete school kit.

The next morning, she proudly walked to school wearing her new uniform and carrying her books for the first time.

Her mother shared with tears in her eyes:

“My daughter smiled again because someone cared about her future.”

This is more than education support.
It is restoring confidence, dignity, and hope.

Current Project Status

Our goal is to support 100 underprivileged children with complete school kits.

The last donation was received in July 2025, and since then, many children have been waiting for the opportunity to start school with proper supplies.

Dear Supporter,

Classrooms of Light: Igniting Young Dreams

Education is every child’s doorway to opportunity, dignity, and a brighter future. Yet, for many children from low-income families in Pakistan, the absence of basic school supplies, such as uniforms, shoes, books, and bags, creates barriers that prevent them from attending school with confidence.

Through Classrooms of Light, Moses Welfare Foundation is working to ensure that no child is left behind because of poverty.

Activities & Progress

School Kits Distribution: 12 children have already received complete school kits, including uniforms, shoes, school bags, books, and stationery.
Community Outreach: We engaged parents, teachers, and community leaders to identify children most in need. Teachers confirm that supported students are now more confident and participative in class.
Awareness Campaigns: Local sessions encouraged families to keep children enrolled in school, highlighting the power of education to break cycles of poverty.

Financial Overview

Total Budget Goal: $2,000
Funds Raised to Date: $34
Remaining Need: $1,967
Expenditure: 100% of funds raised so far were used to procure and distribute school kits. Each kit costs approximately $16,18 per child.
Accountability: All donations are strictly allocated to project expenses, with records maintained and audited for transparency.

Challenges

Limited Funding: Current resources have allowed only partial fulfillment of our vision.
Rising Supply Costs: Inflation increases the cost of uniforms and school supplies.
Awareness Gap: More donor engagement is needed to reach our goal of supporting 100 children.

On Children: Beneficiaries now attend school with dignity and pride, improving attendance and focus.
On Families: Parents, often daily wage earners, feel relieved knowing their children can study without financial burden.

Conclusion & Appeal

So far, 12 children’s dreams have been lit with hope, but 88 more are still waiting. In just 8 months, we have raised $34 of our $2,000 goal. With your support, we can provide every child with the dignity of learning, the tools to succeed, and the confidence to pursue their dreams.

Every $16,18 sponsors a full school kit for one child. Together, we can transform classrooms into spaces of light, opportunity, and possibility.
