Building Stronger Social Organizations Through Innovative Tools

For social organizations across Colombia and Latin America, it is still an overwhelming challenge to find grants and cooperation opportunities, often, because they lack the tools and training to access relevant information in their own language.

Driven to provide social organizations with the knowledge to overcome this shortcomings, Makaia works every day to inspire other organization to grow and use all the resources available to better serve their beneficiaries. Our goal is to provide tools and training so organizations can strengthen their fundraising, cooperation and technology capacities and improve every day.

With this is mind, Makaia created Nodo Ká, an online cloud based platform to help organizations find cooperation and fundraising opportunities suitable for their work. Nodo ká offers social organizations institutional strengthening tools to increase their social impact and efficiency.

With your help, Makaia has provided more than 19 training sessions to more than 60 social organizations, with a wide variety of beneficiaries and thematic areas, about how to find and apply to fundraising and cooperation opportunities in an effective manner.

We have taught social organization to take advantage of our mapping tool to help them find, manage and monitor their cooperation opportunities, and give them in-deep knowledge of best practices to construct strong relationship with donors and partners.

The training sessions contribute to our mission of strengthening the capacities of organizations based in Colombia and Latin America, providing personalized support and group trainings. With your donations we have supported organizations with tools and knowledge to:

Provide better services to their beneficiaries

Be more efficient in the search and use of resources

Improve their capacities to find updated and relevant information on grants and fundraising opportunities

Expand their work, through the creation of sustainable and scalable projects to present to donors and partners.
