In Colombia, 54.2% of families are nutritionally at risk. This means that more than half of Colombian families do not receive a minimum of three meals a day, nor the necessary nutrients to guarantee a healthy diet. Together, we can create community, domestic and sustainable vegetable gardens that allow families to organize their own "Food Encounters" and thus have better access to fresh, nutritious and varied food.
In Colombia, more than half of families do not receive a minimum of three meals a day, nor the necessary nutrients to guarantee a healthy diet. This lack of good nutrition impacts strongly cognitive and physical development in children, affecting their learning and thinking abilities. Actions from the Colombian State have not been enough to solve it.
Soydoy promotes the creation of family's vegetable gardens that supply some of the basic needs in nutritious and local food, improving nutritional food security and reducing monthly family expenses. We also invest in children, by giving them the means to ensure their food and nutritional security, and promoting their long-term development, their ability to dream, create and progress!
The project will impact 200 Colombian families in 2021, creating 100 nutritional vegetable gardens with 500 square meters, which will supply some of the basic needs in nutritious and local food, improving nutritional food security and reducing monthly family expenses.
