This year our Nurses for Night Care programme is celebrating its 10th year and The Irish Hospice Foundation’s 30th anniversary. We have come a long way since our founding and thanks to your support and the support of people like you; we have been able to continue our vital work. Our objective is to ensure that everyone who wants to die at home throughout Ireland is granted their final wish.
Our Nurses for Night Care programme enables a nurse to stay in the home throughout the night, providing nursing care, practical help and reassurance to both patient and family. This service gives significant support for families at what can be a very difficult time. On behalf of all the families in need of this vital service – thank you. So far in 2016 we have received 581 referrals from all across Ireland and we have delivered 1,212 nights of care.
Whilst this is an ongoing service, we view each person we care for as an individual and hope to raise enough money to provide support for everyone who needs our help. If you would like to receive further information on our Nurses for Night Care programme, please do get in touch at info@hospicefoundation.ie.
THANK YOU!
