Community garden for food security and livelihood
By Johannes Shikuloh | Project Leader
Community garden under this project report is progressing well with community members involved really understand what it cost them and the roll each has to play.
During the time under review, more members are attached to the project where they volunteer the time let say 20% of their time every day.
At the same time, children and young women are engaged and involved in the project work as to instill in them the sprit of volunteerism and work on the humanitarian work while they are still young.
The traditional authorities are also expected to get in by land expansion and encouragement for the project activities without the resources but with whatever the community members can offer necessary support.
We are expected the government agencies are pleased to present their support either with community training or resources that can help the project activities for sustainable agriculture when it comes to water resources.

By Johannes Shikuloh | Project Leader
This project has so far progress well despite insufficient funding. Community members are encouraged by their work and taking ownership of the project. The project management is wholly owned by community members. Younger girls and women are taking major role in the managegement. School going children are engaged in the garden work on weekends to help them become self reliant in future and help the project continue for a long time.
Garden vegies, are distributed among the members helping them have sufficient food as the way of fighting hunger and promotes healthy living amongst pregnant women and children.
Due to the fact that good rainy has been received this season, the project has recorded much products that helps community to gain health food that can be enhanced their livelihoods. As the project goals are to be realized, this pro wou be a hub of food security in the future.
There are ongoing discusions with government entity for the additional support of the project to be expantion in the near future and is strongly recommended that more funds to be sought for the success of this crucial project.
