This quarter, Good Cause Foundation expanded its entrepreneurship training program focused on the local production of reusable sanitary towels. The training attracted girls and young people eager to learn practical skills that can improve menstrual health while generating income.
Participants received hands-on instruction in sewing, product assembly, hygiene standards, and small business management. Through the training, young people gained valuable skills that can be used to start small enterprises and support their families.
The reusable sanitary towels produced by trainees are providing an affordable alternative for girls who struggle to access menstrual products. This has increased availability within the community and reduced dependence on costly disposable products.
In addition to acquiring technical skills, participants developed confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Many expressed excitement about using their new knowledge to create sustainable livelihoods and support other girls in their communities.
The success of this initiative highlights the power of combining education, health, and entrepreneurship to create long-term solutions. We remain grateful for the generosity of our donors who make these opportunities possible.
