My sixth semester started at the end of September 2017. I took 6 subjects, with most of them scheduled for weekends and one during a weekday. Weekend classes start from 8 am until 6 pm. The weekday class took place every Friday at 6pm. On Fridays I would leave my office early to ensure I was punctual.
Next semester, I should be enrolling in an Internship Program to complete my school’s credit. I have to spend at least 3 months in one company, applying what I’ve learned in college and make a final report about my internship program. For students already with employment, they can enroll the internship program at their work place. This is the best choice for me. I want to link the Internship program with my current employer: Yayasan Usaha Mulia. Unfortunately, I am not yet allowed to enroll in the Internship program next semester because I have not completed the prerequisites. I still need to enroll a few classes before I have reached enough credits.
For the last couple of months, I had to work and study harder than usual because I had mid-semester tests and YUM’s financial end year report at the same time. I had to complete everything by the end of December. In January, I also helped to organise YUM’s annual event called “Yoga for Charity”. I am so grateful that my office colleagues understand that I am dealing with work, study and family at the same time. Now, I am preparing myself for my sixth semester’s final exams.
As always, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has been supporting me via GlobalGiving and who have been more than just donors to me. You are all also great supporters of my dream. I will always do my best to finish my study on time and graduate with satisfactory grades. Thank you very much for your faith in me.
