Paridi's Education: a role model for thousands

Dear friends,

I finally finished my dissertation in July and received approval from my advisor for the oral presentation, though I needed to do some revisions such as completing with pictures and charts, which were suggested by my advisor. For the oral presentation, I had to deliver some supporting documents; one of which  is an English TOEIC Certificate with a minimum grade of 350. I have never done any English tests before and I felt nervous to do it for the first time. Lucky for me, I only had to take the test once and passed with a better grade than required.  Finally, my oral presentation was scheduled in September.

My presentation was done online, using the SevimaMeet application. It is an online academic tool that is used by all higher-grade institutions in Indonesia.  My turn was in the morning but it was delayed almost an hour, due to technical issues. There were 3 examiners and my advisor at the presentation.  After an hour, they announced that I passed and that I received an A- as my grade.  

Dear friends, I could not thank you enough for your support. There was a time when I had to delay my study due to my illness. I hope you can forgive me for that.  At this moment, I am waiting for my graduation schedule. Hopefully it will be before the end of the year.

Once again, thank you for everything that you have given to me. I can’t wait to share my story about my graduation day with you.

Dear kind donors,

After 6 months of working on the fourth chapter of my final paper, I finally received a schedule to meet with my advisor. She finally gave me the approval to continue to the next chapter. The fifth (and final) chapter will contain the summary and suggestions about the topic that I wrote. The final title for my final paper is “The Effect of Profitability, Dividend Policy, Debt Policy on Stock Returns in Property, Real Estate and Construction Companies, in 2014-2018.” I am keen on finishing this chapter as soon as possible and registering myself for the final hearing in front of my teachers, hopefully before August. I’m hoping that I can graduate before the year ends. 

Since the number of Covid cases in Indonesia has decreased, I go to my office every day. In the finance department where I work, we are currently preparing the tax documents for the yearly audit. As soon as it is done, we will have it reported to the Indonesian Tax Service Department. 

My family is doing well and on the last Idul Fitri (Islamic Holiday), we had a chance to visit my family who lives in Bogor – a 1 hour train ride from Jakarta. Another good news comes from my oldest child; he has graduated from high school and plans to continue his studies at the Polytechnic, where he plans to specialize in mechanical engineering. I pray that he will pass the entrance examination.
