Dear GlobalGiving donors,
How are you? I hope this letter finds you well.
Through this letter I would like to share with you what happened in my life for the last three months.
I took an English class this semester and it turned out to be one of my most favorite subjects this semester. There are 50 students registered from different batches. I was a bit anxious that this class would be crowded and noisy. Fortunately, the lecturer is experienced and a humorist. He delivers the material with many funny jokes and stories. With this method, he got the attention and focus from all the students in his class. This class is very special for me, because most of my classes are usually filled with discussions, presentations and assignments.
Everything is also well with my family. My second child, Nia, participated in Kartini’s day celebrations. Kartini is an Indonesian national hero, she fought for women’s rights in Indonesia. Therefore, her birthday is celebrated every year. At my daughter’s school, the event was celebrated by the students wearing traditional costumes. This year, Nia wore traditional clothing from West Sumatera. My youngest child is also in well. Last week, he went to JungleLand (a theme park) with his school for the school’s annual recreation activity. He enjoyed his time there very much.
This month is the month of Ramadhan in Indonesia. It is a month when Moslems fast from sunset to sundown. The office hours and campus schedules run shorter than usual because of this, and soon we will be celebrating the end of Ramadhan with our families and I will have some time off from work to be with my wife and children.
That’s all from me now. I will keep you updated about my college life in the next few months. Thank you very much for your kind continuous support.
Warm regards,
Paridi
