Dear GlobalGiving donors,
Sadly, I am off from my studies due to an accident, as I mentioned in my last letter I have had a small accident and my hip was injured which was incredibly painful and affected my being able to walk. I thought the pain would be temporary and that my hip would heal naturally in a few days, but sadly that is not the case. For almost two months, it has been very difficult for me to move and has been so painful I haven’t been able to doing anything much less work or study. The doctor prescribed me bed rest and to go to a physiotherapist twice a week which I have been doing.
Unfortunately, it has forced me to take leave from work as well as stop my studies for the moment. I was not able to undertake the midterm and final test, therefor this means that all of my work during that semester has not counted towards my final grade as I didn’t complete the necessary assessments. I also have had to take leave for one full semester to focus on my recovery.
Last week I started working part time again, I spent a few hours in the office. My hip still hurts if I sit or walk for too long but I am able to monitor this. If the pain gets too much for me, I rest it by lying down. Luckily for me, my office has a room with a bed and my colleagues have been very patient and caring towards my health. Now, I only see my physiotherapist once a week and take less medication than I used to which I am overjoyed about. I really want to get my hip healed soon and start doing my normal routine again and I am very excited to get back into my studies.
That is all from me now; if everything is all right with me in February I will be able to catch up with my studies again which I look forward to.
Regards,
Paridi
