Dear friends of PaSch,
PaSch in 2023 started with some new developments we want share with you. Furthermore we will let you know how our daily business is going – it certainly is not getting boring .
In January we our project leader returned from maternal leave with 10 hours/week and we build up our collaboration in a t in a team of three colleagues, bundled all our resources and distributed the tasks.
We already had three successfully compelted matching processes this year and now accompany the families and mentors and to support them in their mentorship. We are also planning a new preparatory workshop for three new mentors and go on with the matchings until summer holidays, as we have still five kids on our waiting list.
While two colleagues still organize the matching processes, , we are also able offer some additional activities. In February we organized an exchange meeting for all our mentors, of which 6 were able to take part. One of the mentors joined us online, so that we held that meeting hybrid. One of the mentors just had finished the matching process. So she had the opportunity to learn about the experiences and also challenges of being a mentor from her more experienced colleagues. She was happy to be part of the group and gain some insights. now.
Currently we are planning and prepary some more activities: one excursion will lead our tandems to a park, accompanied by a nature educator. In the end of May, we will invite all mentors and families to our annual courtyard party “Fest der Nachbarschaft”, a big event for the neighborhood held by our community centre.
We still need additional funding und so we thank every one of you for your donation you made – that is why we can offer activities for the whole community of our tandems and their families and continue our work.
If one time you wonder if you can become a mentor at PaSch or friends of you do consider becoming a mentor – just get in touch with us, if you live in Berlin! J www.pasch-paten.de
And all the others – there are a lot of other nice mentoring projects in Germany and in other countries.
We wish you all the best,
your PaSch team
