Muchas gracias por su apoyo, a continuación, describimos las actividades que hemos realizado entre noviembre y febrero.

Noviembre 2020

Para el mes de noviembre continuamos comunicándonos con los representantes, para revisar de los reportes pedagógicos de los estudiantes, vía correo electrónico y llamadas telefónicas realizadas por los docentes y el personal directivo de ambas escuelas. 

Se comenzó el monitoreo telefónico a los antiguos estudiantes año escolar 2019-2020 para conocer cómo se encontraban y si están continuando sus estudios.

La planificación semanal contempló que de lunes a viernes se mantuviera comunicación permanente con el personal directivo y docentes de ambas escuelas y se revisaran constantemente los grupos de WhatsApp con los representantes. El encuentro presencial con nuestros alumnos, en las escuelas, se limitaron a los días martes y miércoles, en ocasiones contadas los días viernes, en las semanas donde se flexibilizaba la cuarentena. Siempre citando a un número reducido de estudiantes por hora y bajo estricto cumplimiento de medidas de bioseguridad. 

Nuestro aliado en El Proyecto Salud se encargó de la formación de los docentes los días martes de cada semana no flexible. Atendieron a la comunidad educativa realizando una jornada de salud y toma de muestras, con entrega de resultados una semana después de la consulta médica. 

Fundación Bigott estuvo a cargo de talleres vía online relacionados con el folklore venezolano para nuestros docentes.  

Las direcciones de ambas escuelas, así como la Coordinación Pedagógica de la organización presentó el diagnóstico institucional al personal y a la directiva de OSCASI. Coordinaron para organizar las guías pedagógicas por nivel de escolaridad, logrando elaborar en primera instancia la del I Nivel y 6to grado.

Se hizo entrega de un almuerzo navideño a los estudiantes y al personal de las escuelas, de kits de alimentación y material didáctico.  

Fueron atendidos de forma presencial, por la psicóloga de nuestros aliados en el Proyecto Salud, seis (6) estudiantes que ameritaban esa aproximación. 

La Coordinación Pedagógica se encargó del acompañamiento individual a los docentes sobre las estrategias de enseñanzas y aprendizaje. Siguieron las evaluaciones de desempeño a los docentes al finalizar el mes.

Diciembre 2020.

En diciembre además de continuar con la revisión del formato de planificación semanal, se recibieron los portafolios pedagógicos de cada docente para ser examinados.

Se le dio continuación a la formación de docentes esta vez sobre el tema de la violencia de género.  

Fueron tomadas las muestras de sangre a los docentes que faltaron en la jornada anterior y se llevó a cabo una jornada odontológica para toda la escuela. 

Se realizó el acompañamiento documental y de aula al 100% de los docentes de ambas escuelas. También tuvo lugar el acompañamiento individual al 77% de los docentes de la Escuela Nuestra Señora del Carmen y al 100% de los docentes en la escuela Beatriz de Castillo sobre las estrategias de evaluación. Los docentes llevaron a cabo una reunión vía zoom para compartir experiencia de aprendizaje y cierre del programa. 

Fue entregado obsequio navideño al personal de las escuelas por parte de la comunidad del Colegio San Ignacio. Y fue posible la entrega de juguetes a los representantes de nuestros niños gracias a La Fundación Huellas de Bondad. 

El personal directivo de ambas escuelas participó en el Congreso Pedagógico del Circuito 17 del Municipio Sucre, Estado Miranda, en el Complejo Educativo “El Llanito”, para recibir las directrices en los modos de proceder para el año siguiente. Se monitoreó la entrega del boletín informativo a los representantes por la culminación del I Momento Pedagógico.

Fue enviado mensaje navideño a todos los grupos de WhatsApp  de estudiantes y personal de las escuelas.

Enero 2021.

En enero nos incorporamos a nuestras actividades el día 7 realizando un taller de bienvenida. Previamente fue enviado vía correo un comunicado al personal directivo y docentes de ambas escuelas con el plan de acción a seguir desde el 07 al 15 de enero 2021 en espera del cronograma de actividades del II Momento Pedagógico.

Para entonces los docentes de aula acompañaban virtualmente a sus estudiantes en la elaboración de una bitácora desde el 24 de diciembre 2020 al 08 de enero 2021. La bitácora se realizó con la finalidad de revisar producción escrita, creatividad, orden, limpieza, coherencia en la redacción y aspectos formales de la escritura, pero también para saber cómo la pasaron nuestros niños en navidad en un año tan difícil como lo fue el 2020 y fueron llevadas a las escuelas por los representantes. Se realiza reunión de docentes   para organizar el II momento pedagógico del año escolar 2020-2021.

Se activaron las reuniones virtuales con los grupos de voluntarios para coordinar su trabajo con la planificación de la Coordinación Pedagógica. 

Se trabajó con los estudiantes, semana flexible tal y como se venía haciendo. Cada docente recibe de 2 a 4 estudiantes por hora, desde las 8am a 3pm. En semana radical no se atienden niños por instrucciones de las autoridades 

Con ocasión a la iniciativa del Proyecto de Tecnología fueron invitados a la sede administrativa los docentes para recibir la inducción para el uso de equipos tectológicos (Laptop, cargador, protector de electricidad) que les fue entregado para facilitar su labor a distancia y procurar más calidad en la educación que brindamos.  

Febrero 2021.

Durante el mes de febrero, se continuó el trabajo con los estudiantes de manera presencial, con una frecuencia de cada quince días, atendiendo de 2 a 4 estudiantes por grado, durante una hora académica, cumpliendo con las medidas de 7x7 y bioseguridad para prevenir el Covid-19.

La atención prestada a los estudiantes se realizó de forma individualizada, con la presencia de su representante, para fortalecer el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje. Entretanto, durante las semanas radicales, se efectuó el monitoreo por parte de los docentes, a los grupos de estudiantes conectados a través del WhatsApp.

En el marco del proceso de formación de los docentes, se realizó acompañamiento documental y de aula, con presencia del personal directivo. En alianza con Fundaensalud, se concluyó la primera fase del componente formativo del Proyecto Salud. De igual forma, los docentes realizaron Taller sobre Habilidades Sociales para NNA, dirigido por Brenda Sulbarán. Este Taller, también fue ofrecido a los estudiantes de 1er y 2do grado de la Escuela Alternativa Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

Se completó la jornada médica de evaluación para los estudiantes de ambas escuelas alternativas. Asimismo, se revisaron y actualizaron las historias médicasde cada escolar.

Con motivo del 63 Aniversario de la fundación de Oscasi, se celebró la Eucaristía en acción de gracias. De igual modo, se efectuó reunión de antiguos alumnos para la organización de la Semana Aniversario, que se reprogramó para la semana del 01 al 05 de marzo de 2021.

El miércoles de Ceniza se conmemoró bajo la modalidad a distancia, brindando orientaciones a los escolares, mediante videos y foro chat.

Thank you very much for your support, below we describe the activities we have carried out between November and February.

November 2020

For the month of November, we continued communicating with the representatives, to review the pedagogical reports of the students, via email and phone calls made by the teachers and the directive staff of both schools.

The telephone monitoring of the former students for the 2019-2020 school year began to find out how they were doing and if they are continuing their studies.

The weekly planning contemplated that from Monday to Friday permanent communication was maintained with the directive staff and teachers at both schools and that the WhatsApp groups with the representatives were constantly reviewed. The face-to-face meeting with our students, in schools, was limited to Tuesdays and Wednesdays, sometimes on Fridays, in the weeks where the quarantine was made more flexible. Always scheduling a small number of students per hour and under strict compliance with biosecurity measures.

Our ally in our health project was in charge of training the teachers on Tuesdays of each non-flexible week. They served the educational community by conducting a health and sampling session, with the results delivered one week after the medical consultation.

Fundación Bigott was in charge of online workshops related to Venezuelan folklore for our teachers.

The directors of both schools, as well as the Pedagogical Coordination of the organization presented the institutional diagnosis to the staff and the directive of OSCASI. They coordinated to organize the pedagogical guides by level of schooling, managing to elaborate in the first instance the one for Level I and 6th grade.

A Christmas lunch was delivered to students and school staff, food kits and educational materials.

Six (6) students who deserved this approach were attended in person by the psychologist of our allies in the Health Project.

The Pedagogical Coordination was in charge of the individual accompaniment of the teachers on the teaching and learning strategies. Teacher performance evaluations followed at the end of the month.

December 2020.

In December, in addition to continuing with the revision of the weekly planning format, the pedagogical portfolios of each teacher were received for examination.

Teacher training was continued this time on the subject of gender violence.

Blood samples were taken from teachers who were absent the previous day and a dental day was carried out for the entire school.

Documentary and classroom monitoring was carried out for 100% of the teachers from both schools. There was also individual monitoring of 77% of the teachers of the Nuestra Señora del Carmen School and 100% of the teachers in the Beatriz de Castillo school on the evaluation strategies. The teachers held a meeting via zoom to share the learning experience and close the program.

A Christmas gift was given to school personnel by the Colegio San Ignacio community. And the delivery of toys to the representatives of our children was possible thanks to the Fundación Huellas de Bondad.

The directive staff of both schools participated in the Pedagogical Congress of Circuit 17 of the Sucre Municipality, Miranda State, in the “El Llanito” Educational Complex, to receive the guidelines on how to proceed for the following year. The delivery of the newsletter to the representatives was monitored for the completion of the I Pedagogical Moment.

A Christmas message was sent to all WhatsApp groups of students and school staff. 

January 2021.

In January we joined our activities on the 7th with a welcome workshop. Previously, a communication was sent by mail to the directive staff and teachers at both schools with the action plan to follow from January 07 to 15, 2021, pending the schedule of activities for the II Pedagogical Moment.

By then, the classroom teachers virtually accompanied their students in the preparation of a blog from December 24, 2020 to January 8, 2021. The blog was made in order to review written production, creativity, order, cleanliness, coherence in the writing and formal aspects of writing, but also to know how our children spent Christmas in a year as difficult as 2020 and were taken to schools by the representatives. Teacher’s meetings were held to organize the II pedagogical moment of the 2020-2021 school year.

Virtual meetings with groups of volunteers were activated to coordinate their work with the planning of the Pedagogical Coordination.

We worked with the students, flexible week as it had been done. Each teacher receives 2 to 4 students per hour, from 8am to 3pm. In radical week children are not cared for by instructions of the authorities

On the occasion of the initiative of the Technology Project, the teachers were invited to the administrative headquarters to receive the induction for the use of tectological equipment (Laptop, charger, electricity protector) that was given to them to facilitate their remote work and to seek more quality in the education we provide.

February 2021.

During the month of February, the work with the students was continued in person, with a frequency of every fifteen days, attending from 2 to 4 students per grade, during an academic hour, complying with the 7x7 and biosecurity measures to prevent the Covid-19. 

The attention given to the students was carried out individually, with the presence of their representative, to strengthen the teaching-learning process. Meanwhile, during the radical weeks, the teachers monitored groups of students connected through WhatsApp. 

As part of the teacher training process, documentary and classroom monitoring was carried out, with the presence of the directive staff. In alliance with Fundaensalud, the first phase of the training component of the Health Project was concluded. Similarly, the teachers held a Workshop on Social Skills for NNA, led by Brenda Sulbarán. This Workshop was also offered to 1st and 2nd grade students from the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Alternative School.

The medical evaluation journey was completed for the students at both alternative schools. Likewise, medical records were reviewed and updated. of each school.

On the occasion of the 63rd Anniversary of the founding of Oscasi, an Eucharist was celebrated. Similarly, an alumni meeting was held to organize the Anniversary Week, which was rescheduled for the week of March 01 to 05, 2021.

Ash Wednesday was commemorated remotely, providing guidance to schoolchildren through videos and a chat forum.

En julio el trabajo a distancia continuó con los chats de WhatsApp (mensajes escritos, de voz y videos), Facebook, SMS y llamadas telefónicas funcionando, a través de los cuales se enviaban las actividades cada lunes para ser llevadas a cabo por los alumnos. En la semana se hacía el seguimiento y cada 15 días, los martes, los representantes acudían a las escuelas para chequear los trabajos realizados, dentro de un horario señalado para evitar aglomeraciones y poder cumplir con el distanciamiento físico necesario y exigido en pandemia. Los alumnos que no contaran con los medios de comunicación mencionados se les hacían llegar, a través de sus representantes, unas guías con ejercicios y tareas que también eran revisadas en la oportunidad señalada anteriormente.   Las lecturas fueron tomadas por los docentes mediante notas de voz o llamadas. El trabajo de los voluntarios de Arteterapia, aliados como Fundación Bigott y la programación de Pastoral y Educación Física también se apoyaron en la estructura descrita. Pudimos observar que a raíz de este modo de interactuar con los niños y representantes la comunidad educativa se benefició generando una mayor comunicación y confianza entre los representantes y docente. El promedio de asistencia de los representantes para la entrega del Portafolio Pedagógico (carpeta con los trabajos de sus hijos) fue de un 85% y las boletas fueron enviadas por correo electrónico, aquellos que no contaban con email les fue leída la boleta vía telefónica. Sólo 13 alumnos de ambas escuelas, de distintos grados, fueron aplazados por no alcanzar las competencias en lengua y matemáticas. El año escolar 2019-2020 cerró con la promoción de 28 alumnos y todos fueron zonificados en escuelas públicas para continuar sus estudios de bachillerato. 

En agosto nuestros docentes continuaron trabajando con los niños de OSCASI apoyándose en los cuadernillos que nuestro aliado ASEINC les facilitó y conservaron la estructura de comunicación, seguimiento y revisión de material que venían haciendo. A su vez ASEINC nos asistió en materia psicológica contactando a algunos de nuestros alumnos que presentaban ellos o sus familiares situaciones que requerían de este tipo de acompañamiento. Este también fue un mes de innovación para la organización porque por primera vez llevamos a cabo nuestro evento de mayor recaudación en un formato distinto. La Verbena de Las Verbena Virtual se hizo logrando llegar a los hogares de los ignacianos en 27 países diferentes, conectándonos, demostrando que la distancia no es un impedimento para apoyar una buena causa y logrando sobrepasar la meta que nos habíamos propuesto. Esto nos compromete a ejecutar alguno de muchos proyectos que servirán para beneficiar a un número mayor de personas y consolidar a la organización aún más como pionera en Educación Alternativa en Venezuela. 

En la segunda semana de septiembre se hizo entrega de kit de alimento a cada alumno, docente y al personal administrativo y obrero de un mes de comida para 5 personas. 

Cercano a esa fecha fuimos visitados en las instalaciones de ambas escuelas por el nuevo Rector del colegio San Ignacio y nos alegró recibir su apoyo y palabras de incentivo para seguir trabajando. 

Se llevaron a cabo las entrevistas del personal de nuevo ingreso con el objetivo de potenciar el equipo con la incorporación de psicopedagogos y psicólogos. Las directoras de las escuelas, la Coordinación Técnica, Coordinación Pedagógica y Dirección Ejecutiva se reunieron vía Zoom para organizar el comienzo del año escolar 2020-2021. La totalidad del personal de las escuelas participó en dos jornadas formativas donde se trataron los temas de Bienestar Espiritual y Personal y el Sentido de Pertenencia Institucional a través del formato de foro chat.  El personal docente fue capacitado con talleres acerca de La Ruta del Aprendizaje a Distancia y Estrategias Tecnológicas de la Educación a Distancia. También se trabajó con los padres y representantes a través de un chat llamado Talleres para Padres los temas de la Disciplina Positiva y La Comunicación no Violenta. A finales de mes se hizo la entrega de los kits escolares (útiles y uniformes) y el Consejo General de Docentes decidió que el proyecto de las escuelas para este año es “Somos Ignacianos de Corazón”.

Octubre ha sido un mes para activarnos con los diagnósticos de aula. Esto significa que cada docente está evaluando a sus alumnos para determinar sus fortalezas y debilidades que le permitirán establecer qué estrategias pedagógicas va a emplear. Los miércoles se están atendiendo a 4 estudiantes cada hora desde las 8 am hasta las 3 pm. Se realizó un concurso, “Producción en Cuarentena”, haciendo énfasis en los aspectos formales de la escritura, ortografía, creatividad, pulcritud en los trabajos, redacción y coherencia. El diagnóstico del plantel lo lleva a cabo cada directora sistematizando los datos de todo el personal de las escuelas para establecer la metodología de trabajo de todo año. Se hizo entrega de kits de higiene y material de bioseguridad (cloro, gel antibacterial, guantes, tapabocas y jabón). Se han realizado reuniones vía Zoom con los voluntarios y aliados para establecer cómo vamos a trabajar con ellos en este primer período e incluir sus aportes al proyecto de escuela. Varios de nuestros docentes están estudiando educación en la Universidad Simón Rodríguez de Palo Verde y culminaron el primer semestre exitosamente.

Fulfilling our mission: remotely and successfully

In July, remote work continued with WhatsApp chats (written messages, voice and videos ), Facebook, SMS and phone calls, through which activities were sent every Monday to be carried out by the students. During the week, the monitoring was done and every 15 days, on Tuesdays, the representatives went to the schools to check the work carried out, within a specified time to avoid crowds and to be able to comply with the necessary and required physical distancing in a pandemic. The students who did not have the aforementioned media were sent, through their representatives, some printed guides with exercises and tasks that were also reviewed at the aforementioned opportunity.   The readings were taken by the teachers through voice notes or phone calls. The work of the Art Therapy volunteers, allies such as the Bigott Foundation and the Pastoral and Physical Education team also relied on the structure described. We were able to observe that as a result of this way of interacting with the children and representatives, the educational community benefited by generating greater communication and trust between the representatives and the teacher. The average attendance of the representatives for the delivery of the Pedagogical Portfolio (folder with their children's work) was 85% and the report cards were sent by email, or we read them via a phone call to those who did not have email. Only 13 students from both schools, of different grades, were postponed for failing to achieve proficiency in language and mathematics. The 2019-2020 school year closed with the promotion of 28 students and all were zoned in public schools to continue their high school studies. 

In August, our teachers continued working with the children of OSCASI, relying on the booklets that our ally ASEINC provided them, and they kept the structure of communication, monitoring and review of material that they had been doing. In turn, ASEINC assisted us in psychological matters by contacting some of our students who presented themselves or their relatives with situations that required this type of accompaniment. This was also a month of innovation for the organization because for the first time we held our highest grossing event in a different format. The Verbena de Las Verbena Virtual was held by reaching the homes in 27 different countries, connecting us, demonstrating that distance is not an impediment to supporting a good cause and surpassing the goal we had set for ourselves. This commits us to carry out new projects that will serve to benefit a greater number of people and consolidate the organization even more as a pioneer in Alternative Education in Venezuela.   

In the second week of September, a food kit was delivered to each student, teacher and administrative and worker staff for a month of food for 5 people. Close to that date we visited the facilities of both schools with the new Principal of the San Ignacio School and we were happy to receive his support and words of encouragement to continue working. 

Interviews with new staff were carried out with the aim of strengthening the team with the incorporation of psychopedagogues and psychologists. The directors of the schools, the Technical Coordination, Pedagogical Coordination and Executive Directorate met via Zoom to organize the start of the 2020-2021 school year. The entire staff of the schools participated in two training sessions where the issues of Spiritual and Personal Well-being and the Sense of Institutional Belonging were discussed through the chat-forum format. The teaching staff was trained with workshops on The Distance Learning Route and Technological Strategies for Distance Education. We also worked with parents and representatives through a chat called Workshops for Parents on two topics:  Positive Discipline and Non-Violent Communication. At the end of the month, the school kits (supplies and uniforms) were delivered and the General Council of Teachers decided that the project of the schools for this year is “We are Ignatians at Heart”. 

October has been a month to get active with classroom diagnostics. This means that each teacher is evaluating their students to determine their strengths and weaknesses that will allow them to establish what pedagogical strategies they will use. On Wednesdays, four students are being served every hour from 8 am to 3 pm. We launche de “Production in Quarantine” challenge, emphasizing the formal aspects of writing, spelling, creativity, neatness in work, writing and coherence. The diagnosis of the campus is carried out by each director, systematizing the data of all the school personnel to establish the work methodology for the entire year. Hygiene kits and biosafety material (chlorine, antibacterial gel, gloves, mask and soap) were delivered. Meetings have been held via Zoom with volunteers and allies to establish how we are going to work with them in this first period and include their contributions to the school project. Several of our teachers are studying education at the Universidad Simón Rodríguez de Palo Verde and successfully completed the first semester.
