Thank you—we can’t say it enough! Because of your generosity, people struggling after severe floods and landslides in Petrópolis, in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, were able to receive holistic support in the aftermath of these events.
Your donation to the Petrópolis Brazil Flood Relief Fund powered one grant to Cruz Vermelha Brasileira (the Brazilian Red Cross). The organization has a long and dedicated history of being a frontline responder to multiple floods across all of Brazil. Thanks to your support, it could deliver water, food, hygiene and first aid kits, as well as other emergency supplies to communities in and near Petrópolis that were impacted by the recent flooding. Deeply rooted in local communities and with strong national networks, the organization will continue to leverage its local partnerships to ensure flood-impacted communities are supported far into the future.
This fund is no longer accepting donations, and this will be the last fund report of this kind from our team. Thank you again for advancing community-led disaster recovery.
