Physiotherapy for people with disabilities

By Parthipan Ramasamy | Project Leader

Sparshaguna physiotherapy services have scaled up in the last quarter to a great extent. We now provide treatment at our centre and at different rural places through camps. We continue to work with the leprosy patients at Summanahalli and currently have been successful in preventing deformities in many of the cases. The Sparshaguna team is attending to other orthopaedic and neurological problems developed in leprosy patients.

We have launched our first spinal cord injury rehab centre at Gulbarga where we are rehabilitating 7 spinal cord injury patients with an in-patient facility and have covered 35 cases in the rural areas in that area by now.

Apart from these in our OPD centre, we have treated 15-17 patients in the last few months, including post-fracture physiotherapy treatment, back pain, PIVD cases, postural syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.Sparshaguna physiotherapy services have scaled up in the last quarter to a great extent.
