Plant 30,000 native trees Costa Rican owned farms

We are so excited to be turning 12 years old as an organization on September 9 of this year. And with this annivervaryv, wev are thrilled to show you the RAINFOREST we have grown and keep growing with your generous support. As you know, we take huge responsibility for every tree you sponsor by paying our community family workers to follow up by chopping cattle grasses and regenerating vegetation on a regular basis for the first 5 years. And it works, the proof is in the forest. It feels and smells, sounds and looks like  a natural rainforest full of fruit and differents kinds of trees, all growing tall and straight with lots of widlife and birds flitting about. The mushroom layer has jumpstarted in the regenerating soils under the trees and the whole ecosystem becomes fertile, cool, abundant with water and health. The prize is always found in the GROWTH of the trees you sponsor, not just in planting them but in maintaining them long term. Thank you so much. You deserve big high fies from our whole team!! 

The month of MAY rains bring lots of work for our treeplanters and nursery workers and we love it! Given that we work outside, at a distance, we have been able to continue working even with the worldwide Covid 19 Epidemic. This has been a huge blessing for the families who work with us and we are so grateful that we have been able to be out in the field taking care of Mother Nature.

Thanks to our Sponsors who are sticking with us and relaizing NOW is the time to double down on caring for Mother Nature when the earth and her ystems are getting a breather. And so are we. If we are lucky and blessed enough to have all we need, giving back to truly effective solutions feels amazing! Thank you. 

Our trees are growing strong and our first objective as the rains start is to maintain all trees previsouly planted. This means chopping away the cattle grasses from around all the trees and giving them any necessary soil amendments like urea or cal carbonato. We've added some fotos of young trees planted in late 2018 and wow look how they have grown.

We have also chosen a new family farm to replicate our model in a new community called Ojo de Auga. It is very deporessed area with no jobs and lots of slash and burn cattle farming. We will start with 1000 trees on land owned by a Costa Rica family focused on conservation. Theya re so excited to receive the trees and once we finish up the initial colloboration and sign up process, we will start transporting trees and planting. Stay Tuned!!! 

Mother Nature reminds us how possible real healing can be when we all come together with a common purpose. This has been our faith that people will relaize that everything we do to Mother Earth ultimately comes back to us. When we give trees to repair her breathing capacity, we are essentially caring for ourselves and our loved ones. We are committed to ongoing efforts to regenerate the rainforest on the equator region of Costa Rica where these trees grow fast and give the most positive compounded benefits for the whole planet.
