Plant 30,000 native trees Costa Rican owned farms

Growing a new rainforest involves so much work if it is going to be successful. And we love this because it creates the opportunity to make fair pay jobs for community members who otherwise would be struggling to find work. Plus, we educate about sustainable management of the trees we plant on their own farms along the way. It really is a labor of love and awareness grows along with the trees.

For example, we have recently returned to manage over 4000 trees that are 6 years old in order to assure that they keep growing in the most robust way possible. By trimming off the lower branches, we let in more sunlight and protect the growing forest from getting too shady. This means the understory also keeps growing which draws in additional carbon dioxide in the soils not to mention attracts bees and butterflies and pollinators, so impiortant to our very survival. The soils continue to grow more fertile fromt he naural decay of the trimmed branches and leaves or biomass. And the canopy of the trees continues to grow even taller and the trees themselves even fatter in girth.

Our workers see and participate in the process and we love to educate in this way, hands on. We guarantee your trees for 25 years and beyond. And we feel confident in this proimise because we are creating real relationships with the families and the forests we are growing. Everyone gets paid and is accountable for every counted tree and certainly, we overplant each zone to make sure our tree numbers stay on track.

Wow what can we say... we love what we do. And so do the farm owners where we work as well as the workers and nursery workers who produce all of our biodiverse rainforest trees.

This year 2019, we are pushing forward even though we have already planted so far are ahead and still have so many unsponsored trees. . WHY? Because we KNOW our rainforest reforestation solution works to cool our planet down by making cumulous clouds to circle our globe. Rainforest trees improve  healthy rain cycles and repair dead soils while growing food and habitats for animals. Planting trees on the Equator is so effective because they grow 365 days a year and absorb way more carbon disoxide than pure grass systems. The benefits of rainforest trees are superior to trees planted anywhere else. Of course, we want people to plant trees everywhere, we jsut want to impress upon everyone that every tree makes a difference on the Equator and if a person wants to do all they can to help solve our planetary crises, then we have to a little of everything.
