In March 2022, The Power of Play built a two playgrounds, a workout area, soccer field and volleyball field in the Juvenile and Women's sections of the Juba Central Prison. Two years later, TPOP is returning to refurbish everything it built, so the women and children can continue to enjoy it and grow through play, so they can integrate back into society.
We are so happy that these playgrounds and sport fields were heavily used; however, because of that, they need some repair and maintenance. So everyone can continue using the playground safely, parts need to be replaced.
The Power of Play will refurbish and/or rebuild the swings, slide, soccer goal posts, monkey bars, chin-up bar, tire seats and net ball poles to make sure the equipment is safe. All parts will receive a brand new coat of paint as well.
The women, children and juveniles in the prison will be able to play safely again!
