Challenge

With the current war and armed conflicts in many parts of DRC, many people are now living in IDP Camps in different provinces in places which they considered to be safe, however they are facing severe humanitarian crisis because they cannot have access to food, shelter, water, health services and in this situation children are the mostly affected as many have already developed malnutrition and if nothing is done they may die one by one in silence and no one will know apart fellow IDPs.

Solution

This project seeks to restore their health by providing them them nutritious Porridge three times per week mainly Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. So that they may resist to diseases. This project will also help them to access basic health treatment and promote good eating habits in their communities through hygiene among others.

Long-Term Impact

In long plan this project may seek to empower their parents economically so that they can provide for their children in need. The Project will restore better health to malnourished children and empower their parents to explore better livelihood opportunities for their children in IDP Camps. This project will put in place mobile clinics in order to help children to access basic health services in IDP Camps.
