By Janet CHAPMAN | Project Leader
Thanks to your generosity we are continuing to support small rural clinics and district hospitals with reusable PPE and handwashing stations to help protect healthcareworkers from COVID and other infections..
The situation regarding the pandemic in Tanzania is unclear. The government has not released any figures on infections or deaths since the end of May and in fact has declared the pandemic has been cleared by prayer in Tanzania. It is not allowed to contradict this. However infections continue to rise in all the surrounding countries.
Schools reopened at the end of June and some tourism has restarted. The economic costs are likely to be severe for a long time and small, under resourced clinics will continue to need support with basic materials.
So we thank you again for your generosity enabling us to continue to support them.
