Many rural communities in Kigoma Tanzania have to carry water from dirty streams very far from their homes and schools each day. These streams are often contaminated with poisonous compounds which have bad side effects on users’ health. Uneven water supply (70+% in Urban and less than 20% in villages access tap water) is affecting rural people by time and money consuming; the resources which would have been directed for other economic, social and environmental development. School children waste hours each day carrying the water they and their families need for drinking, cooking and cleaning.
Thanks to donors like you, we continue to providing water solutions to communities by drilling and installing rope and submersible water pumps in villages and schools. So far we have installed over 100 sites with an average of 500 beneficiaries per site. However we still have a long list of places that still need our help so please do help if you can.
With Gratitude
Benedicto
