The aim of this project is to fight poverty among rural African children through provision of soft loan assistance to their families to start small scale business while educating the rural kids on importance of financial literacy. 25 homes of rural children have been selected to get soft loan of 1000 each home to support this vision
We noticed children in refuge camps are put of school in Nigeria is 13.5 million according to UNICEF. My organization African Transporter Initiative ATI address their problems by using alternative education to empower then with skills I'm are of digital literacy (why we need computers), literacy education, finacial education and entrepreneurship.
We want to teach them financial literacy as well as provide minimum of $1000 loan to each family out of 25 already selected rural families. We shall provide solar power for them so they can see light even at night. These kids stay in darkness at night. They don't even see when things are creeping up on them. When we empower a home with soft loans and train a child from that home on financial literacy competency, it helps a long way to reducing hunger and poverty. That is our firm believe and rea
If we role out this program over years for say 10 years, we would be able to capture 50% of children who are illiterate and empower then wirh digital skills and other life supports
