2KW SOLAR SYSTEM PROJECT UPDATE

By Stanley Enyih | Project Leader

The 2KW solar offgrid system was successfully deployed on the 21st of May 2020  during the heart of the COVID-19 crisis because of the urgency of the need. However, the NDES FOUNDATION ensured that  proper precautions were taken to  keep the workers and staff at the BULU blind center safe.

Since installation, we have performed eleven system maintenance and the system is running quite smoothly and making the  staff and kids of the BULU blind center city extremely happy.

Thanks  to your generosity, the children have  had access to safe drinking water, better health care  and a profitable poultry holding approximately with a capacity of approximately 600 birds thanks to the uninterupted electricity supply from the solar energy system. This poultry was almost defunct  because a constant supply of enery is needed to keep the young chicks warm untill they are able to grow feathers, is now working at its full capacity holding about 600 birds  and serving as a  source of revenu for the center  all thanks to your generosity. It is also worth mentioning that  not only has this project been a huge blessing to the BULU blind center but also to the neighbouring city of Bolifamba who depend on this clinic for their urgent medical needs.

Virtually impared children who were featured in our previous report is now able to pursue his passion in ICT without any fear of interuption due to electric outages. Thanks to this project, there has been a very noticable improvement in his typing skills and piano skills. Thanks to all our dorors.

We thank all our donors for their supports as we continue GIVING FOR THE GREATER GOOD.
