What an adventure we had! Our students were so excited to go to the zoo and it was not a disappointment! We saw lions, tigers, hippos and so many monkeys! There was a bird sanctuary and we got to feed rhinos and ostriches! To top it all off, our last stop was to see the flamingos!
Not only was it a special treat for our students but it was uplifting and encouraging for us as staff when we heard our students yelling out and beaming with pride when they knew the English name of each animal! To see the moments of pure joy and the looks of complete fear when the students experienced seeing each animal for the first time was such a blessing.
The children of GRACE Thailand are enjoying a great summer break from school. GRACE Family Resource Center is providing day camp for school-aged children throughout summer break. Sixty-seven children participate in the full-day program which is filled with lots of fun and learning. The children have improved skills in Thai language, penmanship, mathematics, reading, English language skills, singing, dancing and fine motor skills with many creative opportunities. The children and staff enjoyed movie days and a visit to the zoo.
We want to thank you for sponsoring these children and supporting GRACE to make this possible!
