By Johanna Barba | Julio Otoni Community Center Team
As every year, we hosted our community center's christmas event on Friday, December 22nd.This year we had a drawing corner, foosball and lots of dancing!
The children were verty excited to have the opportunity to show their parents their work - they did a demonstration of Capoeira, displayed their artwork on the walls of the Center (we worked with collage a lot this year), and attended a puppet show with puppets they made from recycled objects.
It was a very fun sunny and hot summer afternoon, which may not quite be the traditional image of Christmas, but it was as this time of the year should be, all about sharing, laughing and showing our love for this community. Check out some images of the event!
Thank you so much to all our donors for making this possible! in the following days the kids will go back to school and resume homework tutoring activities at the Center in addition to our computer science, caopeira and art classes - we will keep you posted!
