During the end-of-year holidays, the Júlio Otoni Community Project celebrated Christmas at the center with a joyful gathering. Children shared a Christmas feast, each child received a gift bag, and the day was filled with play, laughter, and togetherness. Alongside the celebrations, activities also created space for learning, helping children understand why Christmas is celebrated, reinforcing values of sharing, care, and community.
In January, while children were out of school, the project hosted Colônia de Férias (Summer Camp), offering a dynamic program focused on play, movement, and social interaction. Children learned and enjoyed a variety of games, including musical chairs, throwing balls into cups, ping pong, and other group and outdoor activities. These playful experiences encouraged teamwork, coordination, and creativity, while providing a safe and engaging environment for children to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy their school break in a positive and supportive setting.
