As the vaccine roll out has progressed, we have continued our work as a vaccination checkpoint and market basket distribution for 60 families. We are excited to see in the future the possiblity of recommencing our activities with the children and have created a calendar for our usual permanent program:
*Math and Portuguese tutoring
*English with foreign volunteers
*Art: music, painting and dance
*Digital inclusion: computer science for children and women
*Environmental education and nutrition
*Capoeira with our partners from Só Capoeira, as well as other sports
If the vaccination calendar goes on as planned, we are contemplating reopening our activities in early August! we have missed having the children of the community at the Center. The possibility of reopening has really been a light at the end of the tunnel for us - we will keep you updated and want to extend you a sincere thanks for sticking with us, especially though these hard times for all.
