We are finishing another summer period full of activities for children including computer lab "camp", games and capoeira classes. As the school period started this week, we will kickstart our afterschool program again adding English class, tutoring and homework club.
Parallel to that, we continue to work as a public health center for the general Julio Otoni community. As the focal point for the municipality to deliver vaccines during the pandemic, we have gained legitimacy and trust with the community. This has allowed us to periodically roll out rounds of health checkups of blood pressure, sugar levels, eyesight and respiratory system for the vulnerable populations.
We want to sincerely thank our donors who continue to support us through all these years - we are working hard to maintain the Center as a driving force of healthy community development, and we couldn't do it without you!
Stay tuned for more stories and photos.
