End of year update
By Liske Kock | Administrator
Dear friend,
How is it already the end of the year? We are so blessed by everything we have been able to do this year.
Throughout the year we have supplied weekly gas and dry food to our 70 community kitchens that we support. These kitchens cook for the needy members in their communtiies. This has served milllions of meals to those who need it most.
Our Love Sandwiches project is closed for the holidays as all the schools are now closed, but we have managed to distribute over 55 000 sandwiches this year, which is incredible as this is the first year we have run this project.
Every November, we run a project called Buckets of Blessing where we fill plastic buckets with non-perishable food items to bless families in need during the festive season. This year we were able to hand out 600 buckets! That is the most we have ever done and we are so grateful to all those who supported.
Thank you for taking the time to check in with us. We look forward to everything that is in store for 2022.
Blessings,
The Love Story team

Project Hunger - September Update
By Liske Kock | Administrator
We are reporting from South Africa, where we have just celebrated Spring Day, the start of our Spring season, and we are trusting that this Spring will be filled with growth and new life as we continue our various projects.
We continue with our Love Sandwiches project that provides sandwiches to creches (play schools) in the underprivileged areas that we serve. Through this we have been able to hand out over 35 000 sandwiches! What a blessing to those children, who for some their sandwich they receive is their only meal of the day.
We also continue to support our 70 soup kitchens, who feed their communities, of which majority receiving food are children. These community kitchens receive dry foods and gas (for cooking) from us on a biweekly basis, and through these kitchens we have served over 2,3 million meals since the beginning of our Covid lockdowns which started last year March.
Thank you so much for your support of this project. It is only with the help of people like you that we are able to continue doing the work we do. We are so grateful to be a part of serving our communuity and loving the people who need it most.
Blessings,
The Love Story team

May Feeding Scheme update
By Liske Kock | Administrator
It’s been a year since the pandemic reached our shores and everything changed. 2020 was a year of adaptation & coming up with creative, innovative ways to keep impacting lives & tending to the welfare of the poor. The result was one of our most impactful years to date.
To date we have managed to hand out 2 million meals to those in need in our city, through our incredible soup kitchen leaders who serve their comminities. The 70 soup kitchens continue to receive gas and food from us each week in order to cook and feed those in need around them. Majority of the people receiving food are children.
Many of these soup kitchens also run creches in their areas where they feed the children at the creche, and we are so grateful to be able to partner with these Early Learning Centres. Our Love Sandwiches project, which was launched in January this year, serves many of these creches with sandwiches for the children and to date we have been able to distribute 16 534 sandwiches!
Thank you to all those who have supported and continue to support this project. We are so grateful and so are the many lives that have been blessed.
