Since 2020, Project Hunger has proudly provided over 4.7 million meals to individuals in need. These meals are distributed through our network of 29 soup kitchens, which rely on dry food and gas from us to continue their operations. These soup kitchens play a vital role in feeding hundreds of vulnerable people in their local communities, ensuring that no one goes hungry.
Additionally, our Love Sandwiches project, launched in 2021, has distributed over 280 000 sandwiches to children at the Early Learning Centres we support. For many of these children, these sandwiches are the only substantial meal they will have in a day.
Year-End Feeding Campaign: BUCKETS OF BLESSING
As the festive season approaches, we are preparing for our Year-End Feeding Campaign. This is a critical time of year for many families in our communities. With work often becoming scarce during the holiday season, many families struggle to put food on the table. For them, the holidays can be a time of stress and uncertainty, rather than joy.
Through our campaign, we aim to ease some of these burdens by providing food to these families. We want to ensure that every family we support has the chance to share a meal, celebrate the season, and experience a sense of togetherness and hope.
At the end of last year, we distributed 200 Buckets of Blessing to families in need. These buckets, filled with essential food items, provide much-needed relief to those facing hardship during the festive season.
As we enter this important season, your continued support is crucial to making a real difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can bring comfort and joy to families in need during this special time of year.
