Our Project Hunger has reached 4.5 million meals since the 2020. These meals are served through our 29 soup kitchens that receive dry food and gas from us on a biweekly basis. These kitchens feed hundreds of starving people in their communities.
We have also handed out over 248 023 sandwiches since starting our Love Sandwiches project in 2021. These sandwiches are given out to children at Early Learning Centres that we support. For some of these children it is the only substantial meal that they eat in a day.
We are gearing up for our year end feeding campaign. This is a very significant time of year as many of the families we support find themselves at a lose end at this time of year. Work is usually sporadic at this time of year, and so people really battle to put food on their tables. We also want to help them find enjoyment over the festive season and at least be able to share a meal with family over Christmas.
At the end of last year we handed out 200 Buckets of Blessing to families in need.
