Over the past three months, we have seen inspiring progress in our project to support 18 young people from rural communities in southern Mozambique to access vocational training. One student called Flavia, a young woman who dreamed of becoming a nurse, faced enormous obstacles: her family could not afford tuition fees, let alone transportation or meals. Without our program, she would have had to abandon her studies.
Through your generous support, she enrolled in a nursing course in April. Our team has been working closely with her to cover school fees, provide school supplies, and ensure she has enough to eat while she studies. In the second month, she shared with us how excited she was to practice basic clinical skills. She proudly showed her first high marks in class and described how her confidence has grown.
This student’s story is just one example of how this project is transforming lives. By removing financial barriers, 18 young people — 11 young women and 7 young men — are now building skills in fields like education, healthcare, and water management. Each of them will not only improve their own future, but also bring positive changes to their families and communities.
Thanks to your donations, these students are gaining the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty. We deeply appreciate your continued support and commitment to helping Mozambican youth achieve their dreams.
