Protecting inmates against infectious diseases

We have completed this phase of the initiative and judiciously utilized funds we were able to raise.

This project was aimed at providing inmates needs in Nigerian correctional centers and protect them from theCOVID-19 virus &other infectious diseases.

We provided nose masks and some basic daily needs which includes (antibacterial bathing soap, sponge, tooth-brush, tooth-paste, bathroom slippers, food items, toilet-roll and educational fliers for awareness with frequently asked questions on covid-19.All items were packed up in a bag we tagged the "bag of love" complemented with a loaf of bread and a drink for each inmate.

The joy of the inmates as expressed by the In-Charge knew no bounds as we shared love.

This initiative is a fall out of the funds raised from the September Accelerator page that was launched and was supported by Ishk Tolaram Foundation with cartons of Hypo Disinfectant.

We impacted an estimated total of 913 inmates in the Omu-Aran and Ilesa Correctional Centres

Protecting inmates against infectious diseases

This project was aimed at providing funds to protect inmates in Nigerian correctional centres from theCOVID-19 virus&other diseases.The population in some correctional centres brings about ample breeding ground for spread of various diseases, thus the reason for our initiative at this time. Our intention was to provide nose masks and some basic daily needs which includes (antibacterial bathing soap, sponge, tooth-brush, tooth-paste, educational fliers for awareness with frequently asked questions on covid-19 and a pair of bathroom slippers).All items are packed up in a bag we tagged the "bag of love" complemented with a loaf of bread and a drink for each inmate. The joy of the inmates as expressed by the In-Charge knew no bounds as we came to share some love.

From funds and support received we plan to reach to out two correctional centres, we have been able to visit one as evident in pictures posted with an impact of approximately Ninety(90) inmates. The reason for delay in the immediate implementation is due to the covid-19 pandemic and measures put in place as regard access in the centres to curb the spread of the virus. However, in the next few weeks we should have been able to reach out to the other correctional centre we have in mind with an estimate of about 750 inmates.

This initiative is a fall out of the funds raised from the September Accelerator page and was supported by Ishk Tolaram Foundation with cartons of Hypo Disinfectant for all correctional centres we are able to reach with this initiative. We are still pressing on to do more and our project page on GlobalGiving remains active. Thanks for all you do to humanity and we wish you a blessed 2021.
