If the children in their early life do not receive adequate nutrients for their development, in the future can present problems in several areas, at the stomach, in the developing of theire brain and also with his protein system.
According to the report our nutritionist do every month, the results observed shows, 56.1% of children under 1 year have adequatenutritional status; 7.3% of children have low height for age, which shows an intrauterine growth retardation or are those children with a history of prematurity whose prognosis for recovery can begiven only in the long term taking all condition requiring medical care.
The 34.1% of children are underweight for their age, this is because children also have intrauterine growth retardation and preterm low birth weight also, coupled with this common colds (pathology in this population increased incidence), often accompanied by loss of appetite causing stagnation loss or weight, however, this condition is retrieved inthe short term.
The 2.4% of children are overweight because they have increased intake of formula, hasbeen doing work with surrogate mothers to indicate the appropriate options supply inquantity and quality of the formulas.
It is important to note that over 50% of the population has adequate nutritional status which is always kept none of the children admitted with adequate nutritional states, have submitted malnutrition in any degree of severity.
Thanks to you, we could strengthen the care and nutritional intervention project, to ensure the best nutritional conditions and monitoring children’s health; with the assurance of a positive impact in their future development capabilities.
