In keeping with our mission to provide children with well-being, protection, and the opportunity to grow up in a family, we continue working with dedication to achieve these goals.
Over the past three months, one of our main areas of focus has been strengthening the mental and physical health of the children in our care. To accomplish this, we work closely with psychologists, social workers, and other professionals, while ensuring a safe, stable, and supportive environment for every child.
Whenever possible, and always prioritizing the child’s best interests, we also work to build healthy and successful relationships with their biological families. When this is not a viable option, we assess and support the adoption process as an alternative that can provide children with the opportunity to grow up in a permanent family.
We believe it is essential to address each child’s mental and physical health from the moment they enter our Foundation. For this reason, the resources received through GlobalGiving have been used, among other things, to ensure that we have qualified professionals to carry out this important work, as well as to provide medical and psychiatric assessments that allow us to identify their needs early and provide appropriate care.
In order to continue moving forward with our mission, we need ongoing resources to develop our prevention and family support programs, as well as our work with businesses. These efforts are essential to addressing vulnerability early and preventing situations from escalating into crises that may negatively affect children.
