Project Report | Jan 12, 2022
Process Juan Carlos

By Adriana Pavia T | Social marketing manager

Juan Carlos, 9 years and 4 months old, has been at the CRAN foundation for 1 year and 2 months. Since his admission, challenges were detected at a cognitive and adaptive level; due to situations of family neglect, as a result of which there was not a timely response to the global stimulation needs required by the child from an early age, as well as instability in school ties due to transit through the protection system 3 times and poor performance school with little progress at the academic level. Given the above, the child presents school age and a cognitive deficit. Therefore, through the medical service, a comprehensive therapy process was started that includes psychopedagogy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and psychology from July 26, 2021 to date, with a frequency of 3 times a week, in sessions of 4 hours each, to promote global development and meet the child's maximum performance potential. From this process, Juan Carlos has made important progress at a comprehensive level in his development, his cognitive deficit scored from moderate to mild, and this shows great support for his admission conditions from the health procedures.
