"I can't live in Thailand anymore"

By Boom Mosby | Director

Last month our social worker got a text from a former victim of online sexual exploitation/human trafficking. Her court case completed 3 years ago but the effect of the abuse is still new to her. She often text our social worker and needed someone to talk with everytime she got trigger. She has been living back and fourt between ovesee and Thailand since the case was completed in court.

Our social worker called her back and provided support for her. She said that she is moving oversea because she does not feel safe here. Everytime she comes back she feels that people remember her face. She scares to go out and felt depressed and feel hopeless. Her photos and videos has been use by bad people who use her photos to create fake account to scam other boys or girls and it became a never ending story.  Our social woker not only provide comfort and listen to her. Our team also contact social media representatives and got her connect to the "Take it down" website. Take it down is a campaign initiate by The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is the United States’ largest and most influential child protection organization. This service isto help remove online nude, partially nude, or sexually explicit photos and videos taken before any victims turn 18 years old.

Our support is to always there to listen to her and be there for her and to take any action to help our clients feel safer and have hope. Thank you for all of you who have been donating and supporting the HUG Project. With your support helps us to continue support other clients like this one.
