Dear donors,
Thank you for your generous donations and for helping protect families from waterborne illnesses. Your support is bringing clean water to those who need it most.
In Nigeria, unsafe water causes more than 70,000 child deaths every year from diarrhea and related diseases. Many families in rural and displaced communities drink water from rivers, wells, or rusty boreholes because they cannot afford treatment. Boiling water is often too costly due to firewood prices, leaving children at high risk.
This project provides bottles of Water Guard to families at greatest risk. Each bottle treats up to 1,000 liters of water, enough for a family for one month. With your help, families will learn how to safely treat their water and protect their children from preventable illnesses.
By giving access to clean water, children stay healthier, miss fewer school days, and parents avoid expensive medical bills. Over time, entire communities will benefit from reduced sickness and improved well-being.
Currently, the funds received are not yet enough to fully distribute Water Guard, and we are continuing efforts to raise the remaining support needed to begin the project activities. Even a single dollar can safeguard a family and save a child’s life.
With thanks,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
