New Programme Update!
In March this year, Project Harar started a new cleft lip and palate programme at Asosa General Hospital in Asosa, Ethiopia to address children with cleft lip and palate in the nearby area. The programme was promoted in these communities through various channels including Facebook, Telegram, banners, and posters.
48 children, along with their parents, made their way to Asosa General Hospital seeking treatment. Out of these, 41 children received the necessary surgery, while 7 were identified as needing nutritional support for malnourishment before they could undergo surgery and therefore have been deferred for the next programme.
This programme at Asosa Hospital provides a closer option for people in Benishangul Gumuz National Regional State and surrounding areas of Western Ethiopia, saving families the long journey to Addis Ababa. Thank you to Festival Medical Services for sponsoring this programme.
We are looking forward to many more successful programmes this year!
