Make the Visually challenged to sleep well
By Ilakkiaarasi | Relationship Coordinator
lndian Association for the Blind (lAB),based in Madurai, South India, is a well-known non-profit organization working at the grassroots level for the education, employment and rehabilitation of people with visual challenges. It was established in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people to provide comprehensive education, employment and rehabilitation opportunities for socio-economically disempowered visually challenged children and adults with a special focus on those living in rural areas.
Thanks to GlobalGiving, we have received $2,989 through 23 donations for this project. We are very proud to be associated with GlobalGiving as it provides us an opportunity to connect with donors from across the globe. With this sum, we have been able to take our children closer to their dream of having their own comfortable bedding.
We would be truly grateful if we receive more support for this project in future by way of more donations. We seek the support of more philanthropists to provide new, individual bedding facilities for our beneficiaries. A majority of these children are from rural areas who have not had the basic privilege of sleeping on a good bed with good blankets and pillows. Through this project, we want to give them whatever it needs for a peaceful sleep. It will help enhance their concentration.

Bedding for visually challenged kids
By nasreen | project leader
The main aim of this project is to raise funds for the noble cause. Good deep Sleep, a gift which many feels hard to get. If we could be a reason for someone’s better sleep, then it’s really an uncountable shower of blessing. The personal commitment of every philanthropist is incredibly helpful and allowed us to reach our goal. Their assistance means so much to us. we would like to say thank you for those philanthropists who donated us so far from the bottom of our heart, but for them, our heart has no bottom. The inner strength and self-respect of our beneficiaries are getting stronger every day. We know saying thank you will never be enough but it is our duty to let our donors know that they are the arm at the time we needed. We look forward to raising more for this cause. As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.

Comfortable sleeping for VI kids with help from YOU
By Cherin S | Fundraising Executive
Sleep is that golden chain that ties health and our bodies together - Thomas Dekker
Words by him mean a lot when it is offered by donors like you. Our Visually Challenged children in IAB are very much active in both studies and extracurricular activities even though their disability doesn’t stop them. Our Indian Association for the Blind (IAB) is a non-profit organization exclusively for Visually Impaired persons who provide them with Education, Employment and Rehabilitation. Our services have been started in 1985 and more than 23,700 visually challenged children and youths mainly from rural areas are benefitted.
Peaceful and comfortable sleep provides every human being with an energetic day to start with. Similarly, within IAB, we offer our children with mattress and cot that shall enable them to have good sleep. We extend our hands to thank our donors as without them this could not be possible. The raffle through GlobalGiving made a huge success and we are now better on our way to purchase the much-needed care equipment. We have raised $2979 through this drive and we have been using this for the comfort zone of our VI children with which they are gaining self-respect and inner confidence to sustain a normal life.
We and our beneficiaries are very much privileged and grateful for the contribution made by Philanthropists, which motivated us in working towards this noble cause. We look forward to raising more for this cause. As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.
