From Monday to Friday, children who attend our Educational Program have the opportunity to take part in plenty of different activities and projects. Since summer started, recreational activities have been held every day, empowering kids to develop playful habits and creativity. This has been a major win for parents, as they had a safe place to bring their kids to, while they headed to work.
During the past few months, certain activities have taken place. During the year, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons are dedicated to providing school support for children in elementary school. We walk them through their homework as well as help them understand new topics and exercise what they´ve learned. Our approach also tackles important issues, age-accordingly, such as sexual education through a gender perspective.
Once a week, the kids take part in Music classes. In this class, children play different musical instruments and learn new techniques to create rhythms and enjoy the music.
We are also thrilled that the children have engaged so much in our gardening workshop. We tackle topics such as environmental issues, recycling, ecology, and organic gardening while also letting the kids put their skills to use: they learn to germinate seeds, water the garden, differentiate plagues, and re-pot plants. Children were even able to visit the municipal farm in Almirante Brown and learn more about its greenhouse. We´ll share a few photos of the children enjoying this experience down below!
Thanks to your incredible support, we are able to keep working every day toward providing these children with enrichment and quality education. Want to collaborate with our new mission? Check out our latest microproject: “Make digital education accessible for 300 children” and help us reduce the digital gap!
We hope to keep counting on you for this project during 2023. 300 children want to say thank you too!
Sincerely,
The Mensajeros Family.
