The last report for Connie's Home told of the arrival of 3 new children. We have since had 2 adoptees returning with their parents to visit us after many years. It's so wonderfully rewarding to reconnect in person and see the childrens' development and bonding with their forever families. And we are expecting 3 adoptees to visit in December 2023! We also had 1 adoption in recent months and, while it's sad for us to say goodbye (see photo of Connie & child), we know that it is the beginning of great things for the new family.
As rainy season draws to a close, we are fortunate to have a football (soccer) field in walking distance so the children can watch a world sport (see photos, walking and watching). Friends from Arkansas visited Connie's Home recently while in SE Asia seeing family and other friends, and through their network support we were able to learn up close about elephants and their history in Thailand (see elephant photo).
For those who are giving monthly, we are especially thankful for the ability to budget our expenses through your consistent gifts. Of course, we are thankful for the one-time gifts as well since they allow us to save up funds to make significant rare purchases for the children's home.
