Dear Esteemed Donor, Namaste!
We’re proud to work with RSKS India, empowering marginalized communities with transparency and impact. Here’s one inspiring story of change we’re thrilled to share with you.
A Story of PYARI.........!!
My name is Pyari (Name Changed), and I am 32 years old. I live in a slum near the city, where life is full of challenges and hardships. In our slum, many children spend their days helping with housework or going out to earn money to support their parents. Life here can be tough, and there is not much time or money for celebrations. As a result, festivals often pass us by without much joy or excitement.
But this year, something magical happened that brought smiles and laughter to our slum. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) decided to celebrate the festival of colors, Holi, with the slum and street children. The news brought so much anticipation and happiness to our community, as we looked forward to experiencing the festivities just like other urban children.
On the day of Holi, the RSKS team arrived in our slum with a burst of energy and excitement. They brought with them all the essentials to make the festival special for the children—water cannons, colorful powders, sweet packets, and more. The children's faces lit up with joy when they saw the bright colors and fun water games. The celebration began with the children playing with water cannons, spraying each other playfully and enjoying the cool water on a warm day. The vibrant colors of the powders were then handed out, and the children gleefully tossed them in the air, painting each other in a rainbow of hues. It was a sight to behold—children laughing, dancing, and reveling in the festivities.
The RSKS team also distributed sweet packets to the children, which added to the festive atmosphere. The children enjoyed the treats, sharing them with their friends and family. It was a heartwarming experience to witness the happiness and unity that the festival brought to our community. For many of the children, this was their first time experiencing Holi in such a vibrant and lively manner. The festival gave them a chance to take a break from their daily responsibilities and simply enjoy being children. It was a moment of pure joy and celebration that they will cherish for a long time. As a mother, seeing my own children partake in the festivities and share laughter with their friends warmed my heart. It was a beautiful reminder that everyone deserves a chance to experience the joy of festivals, no matter their circumstances.
