Over the past months, La Nazarena has continued to strengthen its efforts to improve nutrition among the families we serve, who live in conditions of extreme social vulnerability, often lacking access to basic services, quality education, and formal employment opportunities.
One of the key developments has been the consolidation of our vegetable garden and greenhouse, which now allow us to grow fresh produce throughout the entire year. This has significantly increased both the availability and consistency of healthy food for our community.
In addition, we are continuing to expand and care for our fruit tree area, contributing to a more diverse and sustainable source of natural foods. These efforts directly impact the quality of the meals we provide daily, especially lunches, which are now more nutritious, balanced, and rich in fresh ingredients grown on-site.
Beyond food production, we have also launched new training initiatives focused on improving daily nutrition habits. These sessions aim to raise awareness about the importance of healthier food choices and increased water consumption, providing families with practical knowledge they can apply in their everyday lives.
One example of this impact is María, a mother of three who regularly participates in our community activities. Through the nutrition workshops, she learned how to incorporate more vegetables into her family’s meals and the importance of hydration. Today, she not only prepares healthier meals at home, but also shares this knowledge with her neighbors, multiplying the impact within her community.
Through these combined actions, La Nazarena is not only addressing immediate nutritional needs but also promoting long-term healthy habits, empowering families to improve their overall well-being and quality of life.
Thanks to your support, we are able to continue standing alongside the families who need it most.
